The CATS faculty is very diverse, with facilities ranging from art studios to computer labs.

Creative Arts

• Our Bedford campus centre houses a 280-seat theatre, a dance studio, social space and a fair trade restaurant

• Media Arts Centre - developed over three floors at the Luton campus, includes a broadcast television studio, performance theatre, performance studio, two digital radio studios and ten video-editing suites. Equipment Hire - students can borrow all kinds of digital equipment from the media hub.

• 'Self-op' studio with green screen facilities along with our new multi-camera studio and location video recording equipment.

• Art and Design Studios - these occupy most of the top-floor of the main Luton campus. They offer a friendly working environment where resources are continuously being improved and upgraded. We also have the new Art and Design premises in the Alexon Building - a converted building with a long history in the fashion and clothing trade.

• Mac computer studios and edit suites - they have 140+ top specification Apple Macintosh G5 computers, iMacs and G4 computers, along with PC's, printers and scanners. These open access computer rooms allow for great creative freedom.

Technologies

• Computer Science and Technology labs - consist of a number of different types including bio-metric security and forensic labs. Take a look

• Investment in two brand new engineering labs all with cutting-edge engineering technology installed and open from Monday to Saturday.

Science

• Recent refurbishment of our Science labs - the Division has modern, well-equipped laboratories and more specialised facilities dedicated to postgraduate, staff research and commercial activity.
