f you have a related Honours degree along with the commitment to study and work full time, then this course enables you to become a registered nurse in two years. It supports you to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to be an adult nurse, able to meet the demands of the role in a constantly evolving healthcare system. You study in both academic and clinical settings, with assessments that encourage you to make links between theory and practice.

This BPS-accredited course is open to Honours graduates from any discipline wishing to take the first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist. You gain in-depth knowledge and skills around conceptual and historical issues as well as individual differences, social, cognitive, developmental and biological psychology. We offer a range of assessment approaches, including podcasting and webpage design, to equip you with modern skills for the workplace. You also carry out your own piece of empirical research aligned to your career aspirations and our staff expertise.

This Psychology Conversion course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Graduating from a BPS-accredited conversion with 50% or above makes you eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the Society. It also enables you to enrol for Stage 1 postgraduate training.

Our PGCE courses are designed to give you a secure understanding of teaching and learning. They will develop the skills you need to teach core and foundation subjects using a variety of teaching approaches, with the opportunity to put theory into practice in the classroom on your placements. Your University-based sessions focus on developing your professional role, subject knowledge and principles of learning; the National Curriculum; and aspects of teaching such as lesson planning and assessment.

There is the option to take this course part time over two years, making it easier to balance study with your other commitments.
