Examinations play a crucial role in evaluating your learning at the University. To maintain high standards and ensure a smooth, fair process, we adhere to rules and regulations.

A range of groups work together to ensure exams run smoothly and comply with academic regulations. As a student, you play a crucial role in this process.
Student responsibilities
Below are your responsibilities as a student at the University of Bedfordshire:
- Students should work with the Disability team at Disability@beds.ac.uk to discuss any exam access arrangements at least six weeks before the exam period.
- Engage in revision activities and WISEflow practice/demo exams to prepare adequately.
- Know Your Credentials: Ensure you know your university username, email, and password before the exams.
- Review your examination timetable to know the location of your exam, whether on campus (PSRB regulated) or online.
- Review information and guidance available on beds.ac.uk/exams before each exam period.
- Follow all examination-related instructions, including expected behaviours and avoiding academic misconduct.
- Regularly check your university email account for updates related to examination activities.
- Bring only the permitted items into exams.
- Online Exams: Be aware of the WISEflow login procedure, ensure you have an appropriate device, and access the system before the exam start time. Ensure you have a suitable location to take your exam at home.
- On-Campus Exams: Arrive outside your designated exam room 30 minutes before the start time. Doors will close 5 minutes before the exam begins.
- Carry your ID card for on-site exams, as it will be checked upon entry.
- If you forget your ID card you will need to bring alternative photographic ID.
- Refer to specific guidance documents related to “Bring your own device” or “book a seat” sessions as necessary.
