You can access your Examination Timetable by logging into your personal timetable

The exam timetable will be published at least 6 weeks before the examination period.

You can identify the session as an exam on your timetable, because the session will be in green.

Online Remote Exams:

• Many exams are “Online Remote” meaning they can be taken off-campus in a suitable location with a stable internet connection. You will know your exam is online remote when the timetable specifies “remote” as the venue.

On-Campus Invigilated Exams (UK):

• Some courses have specific regulations requiring exams to be invigilated on-site. If your timetable indicates a room (e.g., D102/103 in Luton, Training Room 1/2 in Bedford, EH02 in Milton Keynes, AY105 in Aylesbury), you are expected to attend the exam in person.

Overseas and Partner Institutions:

• If your exam is marked as TBC on your timetable, your institution will provide additional details on where to report for the exam.

Additional Information:

• If you are experiencing issues with your timetable, please contact the SiD Team at sid@beds.ac.uk or call 0300 300 0042 to receive help with accessing your university timetable.
• Please arrive to the exam room 30 minutes before the exam start time.
• Doors will CLOSE 5 minutes before the scheduled start, and late entry will not be permitted.
• If you are late, visit the exam office to speak with the exam team for further guidance.
• It is your responsibility as a student to ensure you know the date, time and location of all your examinations.
• Please ensure you review your timetable regularly for any updates or changes
• Be sure to complete the practice exams you’ve been enrolled in on WISEflow to familiarise yourself with the digital examinations system, WISEflow.

If you need help:

During an on-campus exam

• Raise Your Hand: An invigilator will come to you.
• Technical Support: The team will attempt to assist you.
• Feeling Unwell: Raise your hand and ask to speak to the senior invigilator. They will advise you on what to do next.

During an Online Remote exam

• Contact Us: Email exams@beds.ac.uk as soon as possible to alert the team of your issue.
• This must be done DURING your exam and not after the exam end time.
• Timing: The exam team will be unable to assist you after the end of an exam.

When emailing the exams team, please include the following information to assist them fully (use your University of Bedfordshire email address):

• • Full Name (As stated on your ID card)
  • Student ID Number
  • Unit Code
  • Location of Study (Course)

Remember: It is important to monitor your emails for any correspondence from the exams team both during and after your exam to ensure you receive timely assistance and updates.

At the University of Bedfordshire, all formal examinations are conducted through our Digital Examinations Environment, WISEflow

Why Practice Exams? Practice exams are a fantastic way to familiarise yourself with the format and style of online exams you’ll encounter. They help you build confidence and ensure you’re fully prepared for the real thing.

How to Access Practice Exams:

• Check Your Email: Practice exams will be sent to you by the Examinations team. Keep an eye on your University of Bedfordshire email for notifications from WISEflow.
• Past Papers: For insights into the content of specific unit exams, start by reviewing past papers. Follow our Past Paper Access Guide [PDF] for instructions.

Demo Exams

• Demo Exams: All students with upcoming exams can access Demo Flows through WISEflow. These demos provide a hands-on experience with the exam interface.
• Please visit our WISEflow guidance webpages for videos and helpful PDF guides about the different type of exams you could interact with in WISEflow. 

Need Help?

• Content Questions: If you have questions about the content of a specific unit’s exam, first check past papers. If you need further assistance, contact your Unit Leader via email. If you’re unsure of their contact details, reach out to SiD at sid@beds.ac.uk or call 0300 300 0042.
• Technical Issues: If you encounter any issues accessing a practice exam, email exams@beds.ac.uk for support.

We understand that sometimes things do not always go to plan, we appreciate all suggestions and feedback regarding exams both positive and negative.

If you wish to raise a concern relating to an exam you have taken or the exams process in general you have two options to do this:

Informal feedback/suggestion process:

In the first instance, students are invited to raise their concern with the exams team directly. An email to exams@beds.ac.uk with the subject "feedback/complaint/suggestion" will allow the team to identify your concern quickly and allow you to receive the most prompt response possible.

This will then be passed to the Examinations Manager who will review your concerns and provide you with a response/ resolution directly. In this response you will be given details of how you can raise your concerns formally if you are not satisfied with the response given.

Formal complaint process:

The University of Bedfordshire is committed to maintaining an effective procedure to allow all members of its community to make legitimate complaints.

Where informal pursuit of a complaint proves unsatisfactory and requires intervention of objective parties, the formal stages of the Student Complaints Procedure are available to students.
