Heritage Skills Hub

A Heritage Skills Hub session

As part of our partnership project with the University of Northampton funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Heritage Skills Hub is a continuation of the Heritage Enterprise Hub delivered across Bedfordshire between 2021 and 2023.

The Heritage Skills Hub is for practitioners, educators, researchers, and those involved in community initiatives and outreach.

The Hub will offer a series of needs-driven, online and in person training sessions and events that work in dialogue with Heritage Impact Accelerator and Heritage Futures Elevator participants, regional delivery partners and university colleagues.

Sessions will include practical help with issues relating to:

  • Working across heritage
  • Completing bids
  • Building strategic partnerships and networks
  • Building digital infrastructure
  • Engaging with schools
  • Developing archives
  • Improving professional resilience and diversifying income.

The Heritage Skills Hub will also provide sessions exploring how to introduce heritage to a learning environment, creating education partnerships, and how local heritage offers can embed into a curriculum.
