Friday 2nd May 2025, 10am - 3pm at our Luton Campus, Park Square, F Block ground floor

We’re spotlighting talent and employability to our local organisations and partners, whilst celebrating the extraordinary stories & educational journeys of our students.

We are delighted to meet peers, teaching staff and regional businesses and Industry partners on Friday 2nd May, 11am - 3:00pm at our Luton Campus, Park Square, F Block ground floor. Here, guests will be able to see our students demonstrate their artifacts, and present their final-year posters showcasing their skills, knowledge and achievements.

Attendees will be able to view individual and industry-linked final-year project work.

Join us if you are:

  • A CST Student
  • A business that would like a stand or to attend; or
  • UoB alumni; or
  • A Bedfordshire-based school or college.

This event is open to the public and local businesses and organisations.

There will be the opportunity to meet and talk to our soon-to-be graduates, to network with our industry supporters, and many other friends of the school.

The 8th International Workshop on
Applications of AI, Cyber Security and Economics Data Analytics (ACE-2025)

In conjunction and co-chair with

HPCC (The 27th IEEE International Congress on High Performance Computing and Communications)

Exeter University, UK. 13 - 15, August 2025

Subject and Objectives:

This international workshop provides a platform for IT experts and young researchers to present their Cyber related original research discoveries updates. The workshop period is an opportunity to network with top researchers in the world to exchange ideas, inspire more creativity, as well as to obtain foresight and guidance for further explorations of Cyber space. The ACE workshop was held first with IEEE 2017 CyberSciTech in Orlando, USA, then held in Exeter, UK in 2018, in Leicester, UK in 2019, and 2023. ACE 2025 is the 8th edition with focus on innovative applications of AI, ML, DL, cyber security, data analytics and blockchain technology applications and integrations.

Scope and Topics:

This workshop is broad in scope and invites original research contributions on topics that include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, ICT Education & Pedagogy Research
  • AI Governance, Trust and explanation
  • VR, AR, Mixed Reality and Digital Twins
  • Smart City, AV and 6G Technology
  • Data Analytics, Information Retrieval and Data Science Applications
  • Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Monitoring and Analysis
  • Edge Computing, Hyper Intelligence and IoT Applications
  • Blockchain and Decentralised Ledger Technologies
  • Cryptography, Cryptanalysis and Steganography
  • Cyber-Stalking Cyber-Bullying and Computer Law
  • Cyber Economy and Finance; all contributions are welcome.
Submission and Publication

Authors should submit a paper of up to 6 pages of their original work. Submitted papers need to abide by IEEE Computer Society formats, and must be formatted accordingly. Please send your submission draft via email link: Xiaohua.feng@beds.ac.uk or H.Yu@derby.ac.uk or jon.hitchcock@beds.ac.uk. with PDF format. The manuscript will be carefully reviewed by a number of experts. Multi comments will send to you by the end of August.

IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings

The materials presented in the papers should not be published or under submission elsewhere. Each paper is limited to 6 pages (up to 10 pages with over length charge) including figures and references using IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style (two columns, single-spaced, 10 fonts). The 8th International Workshop on Applications of AI, Cyber Security and Economics Data Analytics (ACE2025).

All the accepted papers must be presented in the workshop. They will be included in the IEEE HICCP2025 proceedings, which will be published by IEEE CPS (EI indexed, in IEEE DL).

Saving your Work

Please Note:

Please be aware the hard drive on the PCs in all CST labs are wiped on a regular basis.

Please ensure you save any work to OneDrive. You can access OneDrive via your student email account, each student is allocated 1TB storage. Thank you.

You can now use our PC's even when the CST Labs are closed!

CST PCs in the Learning Resources Centre

We now have 8 of our PC's located within the Learning Resources Centre. These can be found on LRC L2 (level 2). These PC's have the same software installation as our generic PC's in the CST Labs.

CST Tech Office

The CST Technical support office is now located in room C014 on the ground floor in the C block corridor.

Student Opportunities

We are looking for dynamic students to help with open days by demonstrating software and applications in the CST labs and being available to answer prospective students' questions. Please see: Open Days

Please Note

The CST labs are for the sole use of students undertaking computing units within the School of Computer Science and Technology.

These computing facilities are in addition to the resources within the excellently equipped LRC (Learning Resources Centre)
