The 2021 Summer Research Seminar was our fourth online event.

For this event, we were privileged to welcome the following presenters:

• Dr John M. Norris, Senior Research Director from the Center for Language Education and Assessment Research, Educational Testing Service in the USA as our guest speaker. He gave a talk on "Making the most of task-based language assessment".
• Nick Glasson from Cambridge Assessment/CRELLA presented on his research using conversation analysis of interaction in an online, unmediated collaborative speaking task.
  and
• Muhammad Tanveer from Majan University College in Oman/CRELLA regarding his research into the development of a speaking test to guide recruitment to the call-centre industry in Oman.
