This project, supported by the European Union, promoted staff exchanges between Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine (TSNUK) and the Centre for Research in English Language Learning (CRELLA), University of Bedfordshire, UK (UB) and the opportunity for five students from TSNUK to visit UB to study Applied Linguistics with a focus on language pedagogy and assessment.

This staff and student mobility project has benefitted both HEIs by:

• Helping both HEIs achieve the objectives of their respective internationalisation strategies.
• Giving young researchers in the UK opportunities to teach in a foreign university
• Building the expertise of Ukrainian teachers and prospective teachers in language
• Developing research networks
• Giving students from both countries opportunities for cultural and linguistic exchange
