With Wi-Fi turned on, you will detect ‘eduroam’ as one of the wireless networks on offer at the University.

• Select ‘eduroam’ from the list. It will detect that WPA2 enterprise encryption is required

• Login using your eduroam credentials:

• The User Name for staff will be your usual University network username. This is typically first initial and surname. Follow this with your institution’s domain (e.g. jbloggs@beds.ac.uk or mjones01@beds.ac.uk)

• The User Name for students will be your student number followed by @beds.ac.uk (e.g. XXXXXXXX@beds.ac.uk)

• The password is your usual University network password

• If the certificate queries the certificate, select ‘Continue’

• You might be asked to create or amend your certificate trust settings, which are stored locally on your computer and have a separate username and password

• After a few seconds, your Mac will successfully connect to ‘eduroam’.
