Transnational Meeting (Warsaw, Poland)
Creating Entrepreneurs in Food (CEF) project held its fourth Transnational Meeting (TNM) in Warsaw, Poland, on 11th Oct 2018. Eight team members from four partnership countries (Poland, Ireland, Belgium and the UK) attended the meeting which took place in Polish Beef Association (PBA) in the capital city of Poland.
The meeting started with an overview of the CEF project by the project coordinator from Ireland, followed by progress report by all partners, and the forthcoming tasks and deadlines. One of key issues discussed was the evaluation of the project web portal and the next day’s project roadshow which had about 70 participants (50 university students majoring in agriculture businesses and 20 agriculture and academic representatives).
The University of Bedfordshire was responsible for the design of the project Web Portal. Professor Yanqing Duan, who is leading the UoB team, demonstrated the portal for a feedback from the project participants aiming at ensuring that any potential problems with the portal was ironed out before the roadshow. The Roadshow turned out to be a big success with very interactive activities and discussions as well as happy and well-informed participants.
The project team also discussed dissemination activities and marketing campaigns to encourage more young European farmers to benefit from the online training provided by the CEF project.
Note: The CEF project was launched in January 2017. The final part of the project and official launch of the web portal is scheduled to take place in Ireland in early 2019. For more information on this project, please visit: www.creatingentrepreneursinfood.eu
