LEGO® Serious Play®

Using LEGO® Serious Play® to develop work on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The Centre for Leadership Innovation has been awarded two grants (both about £18,000) to develop work to promote equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives using LEGO® Serious Play®:

1. The British Council awarded a grant under their Gender Equality Partnerships.

The CLI will work with three partners from Kharkiv, Ukraine, on developing strategies to address the under-representation of women employed in higher education institutions:

  • Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics - Leading partner from Ukraine
  • Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy
  • Innovation Generation, NGO

Gender Equality Partnerships Grants are part of the Going Global Partnerships Programme and support higher education institutions and sector bodies to progress gender equality – building on the potential of sector to influence wider society.

2. The Imagination Lab Foundation funded the project Comparing Single and Multi-Modal Training on Equality, Diversity, Inclusion.

The project aims to compare different approaches to delivering EDI training, comparing LEGO® Serious Play® with more traditional models of training.

Imagination Lab Foundation supports research and teaching of new business management concepts and models that are based on art and science as well as the theories of human imagination and play.
