First Transnational meeting (Dublin, Ireland)
The Land Mobility project held its first Transnational Meeting (TNM) on 10-11th December 2019 in Dublin.
Representatives from six partner in four countries, Ireland, UK, Belgium and Poland, gathered at recently opened modern Hyatt Centric hotel in Dublin.
During first day of meeting the project coordinator from Macra na Feirm gave an overview of the main documents: grant agreement, partnership agreements, financial schedule, project timeline, milestones, and outputs. The partners discussed and agreed on key project dates: transnational meetings (TNM), teaching & training learning activities (TTL) and multiplier events (ME).
During day 2 of the meeting partners discussed their roles and responsibilities and project management activities including a Mobility Tool + system for the management of projects, developed by the European Commission for the project that received an EU grant under the Erasmus+ program.
The partners also discussed communication strategy, possible dissemination activities and had a first look at the project website draft pages and a logo.
The Project Manager Austin Finn gave a presentation on current situation in Ireland, options for landowners and opportunities for young farmers.
By end of the day the meeting was attended by Mr Michael Creed, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Mr Creed talked more about current situation in agricultural business in Ireland and stressed the importance of the Land Mobility project that aims to bring a generation of young agricultural entrepreneurs closer to starting their own farming business by providing them with a unique service and solution to one of the main barriers which currently stand in their way: access to land.
