Second Transnational Project Meeting
The DigiVip project held its 2nd Transnational Meeting on 22-24 June 2022 at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, Bielefeld, Germany. Several representatives from three partner countries, Turkey, UK and Germany, attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed to review Intellectual Outputs 1, 2 and 4, agree on content of digital tools (IO3), discuss the development of IO5, revise timeline and dissemination channels.
The general view was that the ground-laying surveys and interviews on skills requirements produced good and specific results. The country-specific priorities in skills needed reflect the diverse profiles and trends of the three economies (TR, UK, DE) and are to be addressed in the curriculum by defining foundation modules.
Nine curriculum modules were proposed to address the needs of Academia and the business community. The partners also discussed the curriculum design, determined target groups, and defined connections between outputs.
The University of Bedfordshire will be responsible for the development of e-learning platform (IO3) for distance education.
The project partner Bizpark (Turkey) made a presentation on development and production of digital toolkit (IO4). It was agreed that technologies (e.g. drone applications, solar energy, censoring, monitoring and sustainability performance) will be included and embedded into teaching/learning material (technology-embedded hybrid learning).
For Best Practice Guidelines (IO5) the business partner IMMIB (Turkey) in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (UK) will be searching for case-studies on best practices in applying digital technologies and skills to support economic development, environmental and climate agendas, in co-operation with industry and business communities in their countries.
By end of the meeting the new project website was presented: www.digiviproject.eu. All partners will be responsible for keeping the project lead (Istanbul University) updated and informed on any activities, tasks, performance and results.
