Professor Duan gave a talk at Buckingham Conference
Professor Yanqing Duan was invited to give a talk on Business Analytics and Innovation in WiDS Buckingham Conference in the Radcliffe Centre, the University of Buckingham, on 10th October 2018.
Women in Data Science (WiDS) Buckingham Conference on Business Data Science for Public Good (in association with WiDS Stanford University, USA) was a one-day event aimed at inspiring, educating and supporting women in the field of data science.
Professor Duan talked about “understanding the impact of Business Analytics on Innovation”. Her study, in a form of a large scale survey in the UK, theoretically and empirically investigated the relationship between Business Analytics and Innovation. The absorptive capacity theory was used as a theoretical lens to inform the development of the research model. Based on her involvement in the relevant research projects focusing on examining the impact of business analytics on competitive advantages, innovation and strategic decision making, Professor Duan talked about her reflections on key research challenges and opportunities that may offer directions for future research.
