BISC Research Seminar by Dr Cadden
On 4th April 2017 Dr Trevor Cadden, a senior lecturer in Operations Management from Ulster University, presented his research on 'How developing a culture of collaboration in strategic supply chain relationships results in high performance outcomes' to staff and research students at BISC.
Dr Cadden examined a longitudinal body of research published by him over 10 years. The seminar provided interesting insights on the influence of organisational culture within strategic buyer supplier relationships. This seminar presented a series of methodologies to chart the landscape of the author’s research.
Dr Cadden adopted a longitudinal mixed method approach to understanding the dynamic between supply chain dependence and organisational culture. He posited that interdependence will lead to collaborative organisational cultures over the long-term (over five years) and this will positively impact relationship performance and satisfaction.
The seminar received excellent feedback from the participants. Both staff members and students felt that they learned a lot from Dr Cadden’s research journey and appreciated the insights and experience shared by him.
