PhD research title: The Effect of Board Characteristics and Corporate Governance Practices on Firm Performance: Evidence from UK Banks
PhD Description: The attention to the corporate governance in the banking industry has increased in recent years particularly after the economic crises. This study aims at quantitatively evaluating how corporate governance correlates with the performance and risk-taking of the banking firms based in the UK. The main research question is the extent to which corporate governance affects a firm's performance and credit risk.
