Research Centre for Contemporary Accounting, Finance and Economics (ResCAFE)
ResCAFE has been established to maintain a continuing enhancement of the research profile of the Division of Accounting, Finance and Economics within the University of Bedfordshire Business School.
In particular, the centre’s objectives are:
- To foster a vibrant research environment for academic staff and postgraduate research students in all areas of contemporary accounting, finance and economics
- To encourage multidisciplinary research involving accounting and other disciplines such as marketing, human resources, strategic management, operations management, management information systems, tourism and hospitality and other relevant areas
- To encourage and support research grant applications to a variety of agencies such as professional accounting organisations, research councils, charities, and other sponsoring bodies to secure external funding
- To provide an international forum for researchers in the Division of Accounting, Finance and Economics to undertake high quality research leading to publications at national and international standards
- To play an active role in the publication and dissemination of research undertaken by ResCAFE members
- To develop research courses in areas of interest for both the discipline and the profession
