Reforming Justice Delivery and State Administration: Leveraging Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Sustainable Justice Systems and the Rule of Law

University of Bedfordshire Postgraduate Centre

This intensive 3-day training will explore the integration of AI and advanced technologies into justice administration and public sector governance, aiming to enhance capacity for responsible and effective utilisation of AI tools.

Seasoned experts (administrators, professors, judges, policy makers, consultants and UN experts) will deliver workshops and equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the administrative, legal, financial, and technical dimensions of AI implementation.

Training includes three days of hotel accommodation, breakfast and lunch, transportation from the hotel to and from the training venue, a certificate of participation, an official letter to help with visa application and administrative support.

Certificates will be provided to individuals who successfully complete their registered workshops.

  • Introduction to Money Laundering and the Anti-Money Laundering Legal Framework within the UN Circle and in Nigeria
  • The Central Role of Financial Institutions and Money Laundering Cases Evidence Gathering
  • Oversight in Money Laundering related cases and the Syncretic Nexus Between Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing
  • Money Laundering Trials and Case Management, Sentencing and Penalties
  • Money Laundering Cases, Especially for Politically Exposed Persons and the Need to Prioritise the Independence of each Arm of Government

DAY 3 Lectures:

  • The Human Rights of Accused Persons Undergoing Trial and the Exercise of the Discretion of the Court in Granting Bail — UN's Body of Principles for the Protection of All Persons under Any Form of Detention or Imprisonment
