Paramedic
About the course
This degree apprenticeship will enable individuals to be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and become a Registered Paramedic. The training will also equip learners with the knowledge and skills to become an autonomous paramedic practitioner.
Apprentices will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to undertake appropriate assessments, provide evidence-based treatments, and implement appropriate referral, management and discharge plans for your patients. A partnership approach will be facilitated to ensure patient-centred care is adopted, ensuring assessment and management skills are developed to meet patient specific needs - utilising an inclusive and empowering NHS mandate for individualised care. This approach to care delivery will require the apprentice to use a range of care pathways including conveyance to a local or specialist hospital, or a referral to other community-based health or social care services.
