Most people don’t come to Bedfordshire as ‘the finished article.’ More often people start to find their true selves whilst they are here. So we will use your money in one of two ways:

• we will either provide financial support to our students by establishing scholarships and bursaries to help them access University in the first place, and then achieve whilst they’re here;
• or we will work with you to designate your gift to people or a cause selected by you.

Support from our alumni, organisations and other friends is crucial to helping us to give those students the support they deserve, and to create better futures for themselves and their families.

Data Matching

The University is working hard to secure additional funding for worthwhile purposes, including bursaries for students. This may involve matching the personal data (ie names and addresses) of alumni from time to time against public registers in order to identify suitable alumni who may be interested in providing such funding.

The University uses an external company for this purpose. The personal data of alumni will be handled appropriately and in full compliance with data protection legislation.
