The 'Academic Staff Induction' is designed for new members of the University of Bedfordshire staff with teaching and assessment responsibilities.

Each asynchronous session will be delivered online and will focus on how the university processes relate to that session's focus. Session content will further support an introduction to teaching at the University of Bedfordshire.

Personal Academic and Pastoral Support at the University of Bedfordshire

Personal Academic and Pastoral support is key to delivering a transformational learning experience. Our Personal Academic Tutoring (PAT) approach is designed to enhance student success through proactive, structured, and sustained engagement with academic staff. This dedicated time fosters a meaningful professional relationship between tutors and students.

We understand that each student’s support needs are unique. Personal Academic Tutors play a vital role alongside academic staff at the unit and course level, as well as specialists in central student support services. Where necessary, tutors also guide students in accessing additional support from the University’s professional service teams.
