The University is seeking to appoint independent members to our Board throughout the year. If you are interested in joining the Board of Governors and would like to make a difference by helping to expand educational opportunities for all by supporting the University to realise its vision, support the development of the University, oversee its strategy and long-term future and have the skills, drive and motivation to help the University succeed then we would like to hear from you.
We are seeking a diverse range of skills derived from a range of occupations, professions and sectors (public and private) and from candidates at different points in their careers. We would especially welcome interest from those with backgrounds in Estates and Facilities, EDI, HR, Legal, and post-16 education, and we are keen to diversify the membership of the Board and applications from women, those from ethnic minority backgrounds, those with declared disabilities, and LBGTQ candidates will be warmly received.
The role of Governor is a voluntary position and likely to require a minimum time commitment of around fifteen days a year. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, including cover should you have caring responsibilities.
