As a DevOps Consultant for my own consultancy business, BenOps 

I joined the university staff team straight after graduating and worked in the internal IT team for the university where I worked my way up from the Service Desk to become a Desktop & AV Engineer. I then joined a FTSE100 company named Rexam and moved into DevOps a year after before starting my own DevOps consultancy. I now contract for clients such as the Ministry of Justice.

Real world experience is everything and the fact the University gave me a chance in their own IT Team shows the trust they have in their students. I spent 2 years in a thoroughly enjoyable role and have been highly employable ever since.

Excellent support, excellent facilities and huge investments, which are still on-going.

My favourite memories are actually as a staff member which include opening the new campus at Milton Keynes, opening the Postgraduate centre and also taking a leading role in Clearing all from an IT perspective.
