SHIFT Dance is the University of Bedfordshire's MA Dance Performance and Choreography repertory performance group.

Students on the course experience the real-world working practices of a collaborative dance artist through full engagement in a small-scale dance performance company. 

Invited guest choreographers work with the company members to create new touring repertory works and students devise and deliver of educational and outreach programmes.

These are directed towards professional, community and schools contexts and are intended to reflect the nature of the touring repertory. Students may also be involved in the recreation and/or re-development of existing repertory.

The company are currently working with Matteo Fargion and Annie Lok to create two new works for touring from January 2014.

Choreographers who have previously made work with the company include Matthias Sperling, Colin Poole, Bettina Strickler and Robert Clark.
