International students flock to Bedfordshire seminars

Almost 750 students attended events organised by University of Bedfordshire at its Progression partner universities in Pakistan.

The 3+1 progressions seminars were agreed by Bedfordshire’s Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Ashraf Jawaid during a meeting with the rectors of COMSATS, FUI and Head of Department, Business School of Punjab University, Gujranwala in Pakistan.

John Reynolds, Sub Dean (International) and Nasir Ahmed, Assistant Director, Head of International Marketing from Bedfordshire travelled to Pakistan to conduct the seminars.

COMSATS audience

The three seminars attracted sizeable audiences:

  • 300 at Punjab University, Gujranwala
  • 250 at COMSATS
  • 200 at FUI

The University of Bedfordshire Alumni Chapter played a leading role in organising the seminars including the one at COMSATS, which was recently established during Prof Jawaid’s visit to Pakistan. The first meeting is due to take place in July.

Prof Jawaid expressed his thanks to the organisers namely: Ali Tawab, Shahzad Ahmed, Atif Hussain, Dr Raheem Awan, Zubair, Dr  Naveed – who are the Alumni of University for helping to organise the events.
